“Street of Art” turns Nabi Daniel Street into an open stage for creativity

The “Street of Art” initiative opened on Nabi Daniel Street in Mahatet El Raml, a cooperation between the Ministry of Culture and Alexandria Governorate under the national arts project “Culture is Life”.

The General Authority for Cultural Palaces runs the programme weekly, Thursdays and Fridays from 18:00: performances by Arab-music ensembles such as the Anfoushi Orchestra and folk troupes, art workshops for children, art exhibitions, a talent-discovery segment and a podcast hosting cultural figures.

The initiative ran through the summer to wide public attendance from residents and visitors, with the district head, Eng. Iman Abbas, attending several of the evenings.
